A two-time recipient of the Singapore Literature Prize (2006 and 2016) and the National Arts Council’s Young Artist Award for Literature (2005), he completed his doctoral degree in English Literature at the National University of Singapore in 2012. His work was featured in Poems on the Underground in London (2022). His writings have appeared in journals like Poetry International, Poetry New Zealand, Ambit, Atlanta Review, as well as in anthologies by W. W. Norton and Everyman’s Library.

　　重要角色的後事一定要寫一下的對吧？畢竟都是虛構角色啊，全部都是虛構的寫一寫也不會怎樣嘛。（是多怕被軍方殺死？）

　　可愛楊新去當了工程師。混血子龍去做早餐店。小小子怡去餐廳當了廚師。小宥勝秦天簽下去受了士官訓當了教育班長。心思細膩第六感神強的肌肉男威育跟著孟哲去做了保險業務成為師奶殺手。色凱最後還是去加拿大打工度假拋下一切。憂鬱弘去做國外業務跟老男人周旋，消失在人群當中。智淵說他買了一個望遠鏡。連長因為體能一直沒過升不了校級。小S副連最猛，他是看了我的小說才發現自己對男生居然也可以。（全世界都知道就你不知道了。）呆呆輔導長後來也調走，如今都不在原本的營區。

　　而那個營區，我他媽是再也沒回去過了，我閉著眼睛都可以想起每個角落是長什麼樣子。那可能是全台灣，我最懷念的一個有這麼多故事的地方了。（虛構的地方……）

　　小宇呢？這又是另外一個故事了。

　　當初只是想寫開心的，從來沒想過讀者不斷支持之下，就這樣寫了一年。途中遇到很多軍士官兵的回饋，許多人就成為我的智囊團，特別是奶茶。最要感謝我的父母，他們這一年來根本不知道我在衝幹小，卻願意讓我就這樣專職寫作。

　　跟著書出櫃問世的當天，爸媽跟已經知情的弟弟跟我在餐桌上。

　　「我寫的書其實是……」我不斷跳針：「其實是……」
